Iβm crowd sourcing blessings and curses for an art project! Do you have blessings or curses to bestow?
Highly open to interpretation images. poems. quotes. it just has to be able to appear in black and white on paper.

Also my favorite tidbit that got left on the cutting room floor from this one is that apparently there are libraries/catalogs full of meteorite samples that researchers can request samples from. π± So cool! I want to know more.

Sometimes science is poetic.
Unaware that the missing ingredient was in their lab-ware.
You love to see it.

Very proud of this story I did w/ @TestKitchen Proof.
It started as a story about cannabis and lobsters. But quickly turned into a plunge into the science/ethics/philosophy of pain/sentience/crustaceans and everything

Fun fact that didn't make the cut for the story is that the air bubbles have different magnetic properties than the surrounding water! π€― So they can also be used for magnetic applications (MRI for example)

IMO it is hard to overstate how big of a disconnect there is between the general public's understanding and what is coming down the pike in bioengineering.
A great example in my latest for @sciam. Beautiful work from @mikhailshapiro+@bar_zion @Caltech

In this article: me furiously trying to figure out the difference between a meteor, an asteroid, a meteorite and a comet.
Luckily, @SwRI's David Nesvorny was very patient and tried to explain things in molecular biology terms when I got confused.
