It's happening, and I'm so excited! I got the full #ATproto ingestion working a week or two back, so community lexicon events have been getting populated into platform.openmeet.net. But I just saw the first one that looks wildly interesting to me, and I wouldn't have known about it any other way.

yes to wanting a group-like thing. I'm also working on things that are group-shaped. Usecases varied as Book Clubs, organizing door-to-door get-out-the-vote campaigns, neighborhood watches. Where the tools aren't watching you.

I think we are too fragmented. we have a hard time finding and participating in local community, and that's where I'm spending time. how do we build our local safety net, and do the primate stuff our social souls yearn for? I don't know exactly what I'm building, but tools for that generally.
