Or a piece on how there are way too many men pulling the strings of power so the democratic deficit is not only a fallacy, but a phallacy. True fact, albeit an unintended one.

Keep up with me, because I am soon doing one of that awful ✨personal news✨ posts and will be heading to some place where having coined a European political science term that nobody understands will come in handy.

This is what I have decided, just now, to call the democratic deficit phallacy and you should all be hearing from that in the next few months.

So, what to do with a thing - the EU - that is neither supranational nor inter-governmental in a world that has now splitted in two in all areas (domestic, international, gender). It must be political, but it should not. But we want it to, but do we, really?

And deeper. It is about the Commission sidelining the Parliament by using emergency powers almost since the beginning (Article 122). It proves that a super majority in the European Council still matters more than coalitions in the Parliament, as I argued in 2023.
