how does one tell the difference between when someone asks/says something to be polite vs a full conversation asking for a friend (the friend is me idk how to tell when people want to talk to me)

my current theater hot take is that “talk backs” after shows is the biggest self serving bs i’ve ever heard. be honest you just want to hold your audience hostage and ask them if they liked your show

this sounds so whiny and pick me lol. cosplay is really hard on the self esteem. it’s just hard to exist in the cosplay world as a conventionally unattractive woman

comparison is the theft of joy. but it is really devastating to see skinny and beautiful people doing the same character with less effort get all the attention and compliments on how beautiful they are

meanwhile my barbara gordon cosplay, a character long described as beautiful and desirable, gets far less engagement even with a lighting and backdrop that takes time and effort.

trying to find peace looking at how much more likes/engagement i get from my clarisse la rue cosplay content, a character who is canonically described as ugly, fat and a bitch. i’ve been told by multiple people i look exactly how they pictured her when they read the books.
