Love too add another mess for the next Democratic administration to clean up, another debt racked up by the party of financial responsibly to be paid at the cost of having the government do good things for people.

it really is unfortunately this simple - we elected the stupidest narcissists absolutely convinced that they could just go and "assert warfighter dominance" or whatever, those pussy liberals didn't wanna FIGHT!!!, and are just now shocked that the enemy gets a vote too

Trump is pulling out all the stops until the American people finally are forced to acknowledge what an idiot he is.

But we are putting up a staunch fight, because to admit that would also mean admitting that we are even bigger idiots.

I am confident there are plans but they're structured by strategic thought -- ie, if the US were to reach a point of escalation with Iran that led to a Hormuz closure it would be with a coalition of allies and a national commitment to war that would enable wartime actions bsky.app/profile/mike...

"It's important to get public support before going to war"

"The other side can do things too"

"It takes one side to start a war, it takes two to end it"

They only connect in downtown. Unfortunately if you want to travel north/south through the western suburbs, you don't really have any transit options.

If you click Minneapolis on the map here, you can see existing and planned train and rapid bus routes: www.thetransportpolitic.com/transitexplo...

A map of the Green Line Extension.

The Green Line Extension (Southwest LRT) will go on this route. It was delayed but will open next year.

The Blue Line Extension would've gone partly down 55, but only to the Minneapolis border, then it would've swung north through Theo Wirth and hit Bottineau. They rerouted that portion.

"What if the world's three most dangerous countries all had awful leaders at once?" is not a question anyone was clamoring to have answered, and yet

It's great that the president just spends all day yelling at his TV, and this results in thousands and thousands of deaths around the world. I'm glad this is how my country wants to be governed. This is good, actually, and I don't think we deserve to be swept under by the merciful floodwaters.

I know compliance has almost reached 100%. But now that it's been nearly a decade since the law took effect, I feel like there ought to be some measurable improvements.

I'd like to read about whether recent high profile MN legislation had the impact that was intended.

Specifically:

- Has the 2015 buffer law improved water quality?
- Has the 2023 READ Act been successfully implemented in classrooms?
- What has been the effect of the child tax credit so far?

So many people decided that liberals couldn't be right about Trump because they personally found their sincerity to be a bit annoying.

it is genuinely very funny how many big name/shop analysts have gone on tv in the last 24-48hr and been like "man we didn't think this administration would be so stupid" like, come on

yeah, this weekend I heard a similar view to the one expressed in the post will quoted. it is of course not true but it feels that way because of the way coverage of a thing often stops when trump stops doing it

I dunno why I would've expected any different, but living through the worst presidency in your country's history totally sucks.

Still crazy that the president’s lawyer spent two days with Ghislaine Maxwell, she “cleared” him of wrongdoing and was almost immediately transferred to a more pleasant prison and nobody in the administration will explain it and the media acts like two large dots are just impossible to connect.

The Discourse has become sort of numb to the fact that the richest guy on earth and owner of a major social media platform just routinely spits out the kind of nakedly white supremacist shit that until a decade ago you rarely saw outside of places like Stormfront.
