Gaza’s “last lifelines keeping people alive are collapsing,” according to the United Nations.

Children are starving. In recent weeks, Israeli forces have killed more than 1,000 Palestinians seeking food aid, per the UN.

I've now reached out to the researcher behind the projection. He confirms that descendents of immigrants will keep being descendents indefinitely in the model (even if they have, let's say, a Danish grandfather and Danish father)

Yes, even if they marry a Dane. I'm quite shocked that they would print this.

It doesn't say if the projection ever starts counting descendents as Danish (no matter how many generations of Danish ancestors)

I don't think the mean 7 generations. But that in 70 years, "immigrants and descendents" will be a majority in Denmark (because descendents keep being counted as such, even if they have a Danish parent)

Yet, the article claims that:
"In seven decades, citizens of Danish origin might become the minority if current trends continue." Which is not what the projection shows.

I would go as far as saying that the subheading is flat out lying, since it claims that "In seven decades, citizens of Danish origin might become the minority if current trends continue". But this is clearly not what the projection shows

Here is the info on the assumptions (see the final bullet)

In the projection, all children of "foreigners and descendents" keep being counted as descendents, even if one if their parents is Danish. Accordingly, even people with generations of Danish ancestors won't count as Danish.
