To be clear, I’m talking about actual antisemitism. Not criticism of Israel or Zionism.

I personally think that antisemitism will just be less of an issue for candidates over time. It will likely be treated more like other forms of bigotry, in that it will be acceptable as long as it helps those it doesn’t target.

The point of my post is not to take down Graham Platner - I’m not nearly influential enough to do that - but to lay down a marker about a highly worrisome trend in US politics, beginning on the right but now seemingly migrating to parts of the left.

Since this is a response to me, I’ll respond back: I don’t think I can sink Platner that way. I think he’s definitely going to be the Democratic nominee and likely the next Senator. And that means both parties no longer have taboos against candidates who associate with Nazis, and that scares me!
