I never am in the “stay on four legs” camp, but I really would prefer Pombon stay on four legs.

Because Pombon, more than most, just looks like it would befit a quadruped design, in my eyes. And I think it would be more interesting seeing what it evolves to that way.

Considering it’s one movie trailer and some fluff from the people in charge how great it is bringing these characters to the big screen, I feel calling it a Direct at all is a stretch.

Wow. Almost like consoles having exclusives, and thus, making you NEED a reason to buy their specific box, is an important part of the market.

I get the current line up isn’t super duper exciting for people, but it’s okay to say the real thing that “I just want them to announce games I’m personally interested in” rather than making the disinterest Nintendo’s problem.

But for me- MINA THE HOLLOWER RELEASE DATE PLEASE!?

It’s funny to me just for the sake of how the Nintendo YouTube side of things keeps freaking out, like right now it’s sink or swim with Nintendo.

Since they have games dated up until April and Switch 2’s selling well- they haven’t NEEDED a Direct for a hot minute.

Welcome back, my intense hatred of Smash Bros roster speculation.

And, though I have yet to say as much- if the evolutions are cool and it goes on two legs, I will not care. Just make it look good and that’s all that really matters.

But Pombon is my new favorite. I love it. I need it. They’re bad people making me wait for it until 2027.

Since I’m not usually one to care if they stay on all fours or not, but I really think Pombon staying on all fours makes sense- it looks less cartoony than stuff like Litten or Sprigatito where they moved to standing on two legs.

It just strikes me as befitting becoming a bigger regular dog.

The only two exceptions are Zygarde and Midnight Lycanroc.

In the former case, that’s only form changes and the different forms for Zygarde are all over the place.

And Midnight Lycanroc is one branch of an evolution line where it goes from normal dog to a werewolf.

So here’s hoping, Pombon.

I have cautious optimism Pombon will stay on all fours.

For one thing- virtually every dog Pokemon that started on four legs has stayed on four legs. If they’re ever on two legs, they start there and stay there with two exceptions.

I think 20 dollars for FireRed and LeafGreen is a reasonable price for these video games.

And I think, if anyone believes them too expensive, that is also fair and valid to skip them if you so choose.

I just got the vibe the game had even just a fraction more care in it than most live service games.

CaliKart gets a CTR style story mode that has to do with time travel.

It’s REALLY hard not to relate this to Concord when the game specifically had an alleged echo chamber of positivity, much like what Concord did.

The difference is, and this is purely vibes with no evidence, I almost feel like Highguard had some passion and not just “live service money” behind it.

A Metroid game. Pick the least appropriate series for a day like Valentine’s Day by playing a game built around isolationism.

See, what I thought really ruined this video is exactly that, mostly because it works against Arlo’s point when he proceeds to make jokes about being happy Tanabe is leaving.

You don’t make a genuine point and then proceed to crack jokes along the exact lines you said not to speak along.

The hype just steadily builds with each release/product being more ambitious than the last.

Besides, I wouldn’t expect much for huge games beyond Mario and Pokemon Gen 10. And I don’t see them revealing all their cards this early.

I’m making this my official prediction for the year.

I’m seeing a bunch of people speculating 3D Mario is coming at a possible Direct in February here, but I genuinely think Nintendo would be better off saving a reveal like that for June.

You go from Galaxy 1+2 to Wonder Switch 2 to the Galaxy Movie to a 3D Mario reveal/release.

I think it’s too early to make that call based on like, maybe 4 minutes of footage from the trailers.

That said… maybe. But also, I don’t think it matters what it’s called so long as the movie is fun.
