*2 If a heavily agricultural country like Denmark needs to import biomass, it is absolutely not scaleable. For the scientific concensus against forest biomass, read e.g. this short open lettersigned by 700+ researchers:

* The model they cite is here: chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://vbn.aau.dk/ws/portalfiles/portal/534311584/Fakta_om_atomkraft_V2_FINAL.pdf
It involves 42 TWh of biomass energy in Denmark. The only type they name directly is biogas, but that's projected only 13 TWh in 2035.

What do you think?

As a new dad I got a pass to teach online, so this week I've been waking up at 3 AM to teach in China. My module on #catalysis bridges scales from #nanoscience to the global climate crisis - and the Sino Danish Center builds bridges to a green technology superpower.

Colleagues and I read the literature about the way that CO2 can be turned into fuels and chemicals by electrocatalysis, developed a systematic way to describe the step-by-step atomic pathways involved, and came up with this, our best guess. Improve it if you can! :)
