Every shadow has a purpose

Spirits associated with death may help guide ppl through their journey into the shadow, beckoning all that needs to "die" within them. They can also be an ally in ancestral healing.

People have different experiences with any given spirit, because spirits are people too; my relationship with one person is going to be different than my relationship with a second person, and a third person is going to have a different relationship with the second person than i do.

Humans, spirits, deities, goddesses, and demons are not confined to boxes that you try to put them in.

BeING kind to yourself is not the same thing as *making an effort* to be kind to yourself. "Being" kind to yourself implies a constant state thats easy to forget, while "making an effort" to be kind to yourself is an action.

Lighten up; having a sense of humor about something adds an intellectual factor; it shows cleverness and shows the capacity for seeing different perspectives. It also helps you detach from things, while also encouraging other people to be lighter, to speak lighter, and to react lighter to conflict.

My identity does not need to be consumable

"Beginner" witchcraft is like beginner music instruments; it will slow down your learning. It turns people away from witchcraft because its not powerful or full of magic.

Witchcraft should not be used to control others. Impacting others is not the same as controlling them.

Some demons in some grimoires are angels in other grimoires; such as Abaddon, Danael, Matanbuchas, Oriel, and Samael.

Old grimoires are not objective, they are just documentation of ways that some people have interacted with demons.

They shift the demons meaning to justify their hatred against a group of people. This makes it fascinating (and deeply meaningful to me) to untangle those narratives and find who a demon really is beneath it. Lilith is a more common example.

Demons were created to be difficult to define in order to be used as a tool to control people. Historically pagan spirits (like Baal Zebul) were often used by hebrew scholars to demonize pagan practices (Baal Zebub), and then christians used that spirit to demonize jewish people (Beelzebub).

Similar to how indigenous practices have been, and still are, demonized as "evil witchcraft", demons are demons because they have been demonized. This makes them more powerful and aligned to myself.

When we connect our voices to the voices of others, our power grows.

Solidarity is sacred. The most common themes in german folklore are humbleness, hard work, and being caring toward people who are different.

Desire is an evolutionary mechanism. It drives our experience. But desire is deemed "evil", so we react to it very seriously. But its how we react to desires that makes something "evil".

Items used for spells are not representations, theyre expressions. Symbols and sigils are representations of course, but objects like dried herbs or crystals are not representations. They are expressions, often of the land.
