The Senate Democrats have now blocked the reopening of the government 12 times.

The liberals are holding the government hostage in exchange for their radical wish list. This list could include an additional $1.5 trillion in government spending and taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal immigrants.

The House CR was transmitted to the Senate where Senator Schumer immediately initiated a filibuster to block it from getting to the Senate floor for a vote. Breaking the filibuster will take 60 votes, which means seven Democrats will have to join all the Senate Republicans.

On September 19, House Republicans voted for a Continuing Resolution (CR) to keep the government open through November 21 to give the House and Senate appropriators more time to finish their work on the appropriations bills.
