The Carney Liberal govt is thoroughly depraved. It's desperately trying to save face for its steadfast commitment to genocide by, eg, claiming it'll recognize Palestinian statehood, but only if the PA meets ridiculous demands like hosting elections in Gaza, which has been bombed into the stone ages.

One of the Palestinian hostages Israel released during the semi-ceasefire earlier this year was covered in extensive chemical burns from torture. Many are extremely emaciated. The lawyer for the doctor abducted during that ceasefire says he is getting a couple teaspoons of rice per day.

I am against my government treating some “hostages” as humans worthy of concern and others, not to mention an entire population being subjected to genocide by the same state endangering the hostages my government cares about, as completely disposable and beneath contempt.
