i might get a bag anyway, i like to try and and reward innovation like this. it's something different, new, and for a really untested market.

LRT: i try to take that approach to pretty much anything, particularly when there's already products i *like* a lot. maybe it isn't a diaper that appeals a whole lot to me, but that means for still a lot of people out there, someone's making their new favorite diaper.

My big peeve with the ABDL community is that like, every subgroup thinks they're the whole community. They all act like everything should be designed around their tastes. It's so annoying to get teased when you don't enjoy it, or to hear non-furries whine about furry themes on diapers.

As a subculture matures, it's very healthy to have things that have a polarizing effect on people.

If you release a product that has one group extremely excited and another group that dislikes it, that is far better than mild "eh it's fine" across the whole group

That's what I've always said about this kinda stuff! Open-world Zelda just wasn't for me, for instance, but if I want a dungeon crawling Zelda game there's like 137 to choose from. I don't NEED another tailored to my interests. I'd rather see something new being tried!

it's always bugged me in some games where you like, perpetually have to prove your worth to literally everyone you meet instead of being like "um, yeah, i'm literally the reason you have a planet to live on. at least, like, twice now."

i think around season 2 is when i really started noticing it and then on into 3 & path of fire it's used really well for comedic effect

i really should pick my ranger back up, i haven't played him since before heart of thorns released and I'm sure there's some really cool bonus lines and other little fun bits sylvari players for, uh... story reasons lol

perfect example of this is an NPC directing you elsewhere and warning you that they're a very busy person

"I'm sure he'll spare a few moments for me."

and the VA perfectly portrays that "Yeah, I think I can flex a little bit of that hero rizz and get my way here. Or beat him up if I have to."

i've only ever played as male sylvari and female charr, though, dunno how the VA is for other races/genders. my first character was a sylvari ranger, then after that a charr necromancer, and i fell in love with the voice acting so i picked female charr again for my mesmer.

and like ive said before it's not just the writing in this game it's also the voice acting and how well these voice actors /sell/ it. i am so used to just flatly delivered lines in large mmo's like this that it's surprising to hear subtext in the VA that changes the literal written meaning on screen

subtle thing i like about the dialogue writing in gw2: you don't perpetually act like you're a no-name from nowhere, your responses as you progress through xpacs more and more reflect that you understand your fame as a hero is something you can use to your advantage in your adventures

I used to think that anarchy was a great idea in theory, but was unsustainable in a practical sense, but living through a time when the worst people in the world are in charge of literally everything, even a deeply flawed anarchy looks like a fucking shining utopia.
