Mate, every club has an element of its fan base who are bell ends. Especially on social media!
Not recall correctly as in I was actually there in 1906!
There were numerous Spion Kops following the Boer War. Liverpool’s was named due to the amount of local people who fought and died on the battle of Spion Kop. If I recall correctly it was named after the local Liverpool paper held a competition to name it.
😁
Awaits incoming from Derek Guy the Tailor Guy to point out the sartorial differences in the collars that gives the game away.

Absolutely true, and respect and admire everything about Brighton.
Apart from the fact that you let Everton beat you 5:1 at your place and thus ensure their survival.
Hard to forgive that, I’m afraid! 😀
Please, Liverpool fans going to the match tomorrow, remember it is:
“Campioni, campioni, campioni Liverpool!” (With a hard “c”)
and NOT
“Champione, champione, champione, olé, olé, olé”.
The first one is the original, that we brought back from Rome in 1984.
The second is made-up Manc crap.
I can see that tactic going down well with our Blue neighbours! And I wouldn’t like to be him in that situation either!!
This is true. He was genuinely and visibly shocked by what he saw after the riots, and did a lot for the city. Very well thought of.
And yet the most watched football match on the planet is Liverpool versus Manchester United?
Mate, look at the team changes. How arsed was Slot about yesterday? Not at all. That was like the first game of pre-season training. If we had needed to win it, the team would have been drastically different. Just enjoy being the champions!
Anybody heard about this idea? Heard it from a couple of different people now.
For the end of season parade - two buses, led by Arne and Jurgen, carrying squads from 2025 and 2020 respectively?
Thoughts?
Well having been a season ticket holder at Anfield since 1987 I have never EVER heard that word used.
Update: since my reply to you, I was offered a different top from the one I originally asked for, but it came today and looks good. So, not ideal and took a long time, but at least got a good top for the money. Not sure what to make of it all, really.
Yep. Had one top delivered, all good. Then excuse after excuse for the second one since December.
Absolute crap, put about to try and explain why he would turn down going to Chelsea.
Contracts extended in the same summer, to be clear.
Was listening to a podcast which contrasted Trent’s last contract extension of four years with Alisson Becker’s six year extension. Lends some credence to what you posted above, IMHO.
Fair comment, but the golden rule was always: two years left on your contract, if we can’t agree a new one then you are put up for sale?
That’s where it went wrong, I think.
From then on in - Jürgen leaving, doubts about any incoming manager etc - the club lost control of the situation.
Trent (3)
But the biggest ire has to be reserved for FSG, who’ve let a £100 million pound asset leave for nothing.
Too busy trying to cash in on selling LFC. Completely took their eyes off the contract situation.
Quite right that they are not raising Season Ticket prices after this debacle.
Trent (2):
3. Real Madrid have taken the absolute piss out of Liverpool here. A homegrown starlet plucked for nothing in his prime. Clicked their fingers and he came running.
4. He’s joining the club who have cost us two CL wins, in one of which their centre half crocked Salah with an MMA move.
Things that annoy me about Trent’s (alleged) impending transfer to Real Madrid:
1. We get no money for him. Not being an oil-state club with unlimited access to dubious sponsorship deals, this matters;
2. Politically and financially, we couldn’t buy him back if it doesn’t work for him out there.
And that he may play against us in the later rounds of the Champions League.
Also, if Madrid get bored of their shiny new bauble and buy a new one to replace him, politically and financially we couldn’t possibly buy him back.
So what are his viable options then? Man City? Chelsea? Man Utd even?

I seem to have upset the Nigel Farage fan club - so let me be clear.
This man sows hate, lies and division.
He is a grifter and a conman.
He does not represent the vast majority of Britons.
Repost if you agree
P.s. multiculturalism is great.
We could do with Man City taking points off Notts Forest next weekend…😁😉
