It was always about ALL women. If as a cis woman you never took the targeting of trans women as an affront to women's safety and autonomy, you should do so before it becomes something personal.

Yep, I see it too. My thoughts are why reject and discourage efforts ppl are making, which can easily fast track inaction. The oppressors definitely love that. We need encouragement, lift each other up! Do both little actions, work towards bigger ones, instead of just being depleted into submission.

I see so much cynicism and criticism of strategies of resistance and the apparent failure of many to resist, and I think we forget we’re up against an enormous empires, organized around systems designed to grind us down and divide us. Of course it’s going to be hard. Of course people will be scared.

We have come to fear that, by simply communicating truths, we will be held responsible for creating division. If queers aren’t able to see our humanity or recognize the ways in which so much anti-trans violence centers trans women, it doesn’t bode well for anyone.
