Not in the same way I'm talking about. They have no context for build system, language server, your project dependencies, and what would actually compile. Tools that provide that context would make those agents better.

I've been thinking about this since I'm creating tools to do it for UI testing. Rather than just letting the AI monkey around with the function inputs, what if we had an MCP that could explore source code and interfaces the way I've been able to explore UI?

I created an Android MCP SDK, hoping it can be transferred to the MCP GitHub org and continue to iterate. I see a lot of potential capabilities with it, even in production eventually. www.github.com/kaeawc/andro...

AI Code Assistants for Android Engineers I reviewed the available agentic coding options for Android engineers while pursuing my own workflow adaptation.

You did a great job and it shows. I'm definitely sharing it with the AI communities and groups I'm in, there are too few who understand what you wrote about so clearly.

I think the categories make some sense (agree the pure wording is off) but the bits about LLM code being not useful for certain categories seems more about workflow experience and choice.

Claude 4 seemed like an incremental improvement at first, but now after a week+ I'm observing a stepwise change in tool call processing and planning. I simply have longer and better planned sessions with it now that get to my goals faster but also help with what's next.

02.06.2025 00:11 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I've noticed a big increase in that stuff. It used to be less polite to me in Claude 3.7 than 4. But I'm also using it 10x more so...

more interesting to me is I'm seeing way better planning and documentation of planning. And that is a great feedback cycle.

Vibe Coding is Driving I make a plan of where I want to go and drive. That's what vibe coding is and its time for software engineers to develop judgment and adapt their senses.

Wrote up my thoughts from where I started using Cursor in December to where I think we are today and what that learning process really felt like. As an #AndroidDev using Firebender & Claude developing an MCP I truly do see big changes coming.
