Gardaรญ (Irish police) reached the same conclusion in 2014:
the burial ground was ~3ร larger than acknowledged, extending into house gardens.
All 33 infants recovered to date were buried in coffins.
This is not compatible with septic tank disposal narratives.
Planning records show the council held maps of the burial ground at the time.
Claims that 796 children were dumped in a septic tank at Tuam mother and baby homes have been proven false by the forensic investigation team.
NEW: Forensic excavation at the former Tuam childrenโs home has confirmed coffin burials beneath a modern housing estate driveway.
Findings align with historic maps and contradict long-standing claims that 796 children were buried in a septic tank.

Cork County Council's website says [Kevin] "Holland's sculpture, fabricated at the National Sculpture Factory in Cork, is an unabashed translation of the Cork Coat of Arms and motto into fully three-dimensional splendour in stainless steel. Located in the median strip at the centre of the dual carriageway, the sculpture gives a clear message, marking the entrance to the city of Cork.
