The willingness to pursue military action that leaves hundreds of children dead, underlines why the world increasingly views the actions of Israel and the US as such a threat to international peace and security.

It feels like a few people are beginning to wake up to the true nature of the Labour right.

This is not new. They've always treated migrants, disabled people, unemployed people, as expendable for political ends.

Long-standing Labour activist Frank Hansen sets out what needs to happen next. Two things are clear from recent events in the Labour Party: Keir Starmer has to resign and we need a more democratic leadership election method. The latter is unlikely to be achievable before the next leadership election, because many in the Parliamentary Labour Party - especially the Cabinet - and the Labour bureaucracy are still in the grip of Labour Together’s programme and culture and certainly won't want to change the rules.

If Starmer genuinely thought the Greens were an extremist threat (utter nonsense) then he wouldn't have blocked Labour's strongest candidate.
