Well well well. If it isn’t the exact thing people like me have been saying for years would happen, happening. Rushing out poorly made asylum decisions in a stupid attempt to clear the initial decisions backlog simply moved the backlog to the tribunal.

Israeli settlers in the West Bank harass, terrorise, destroy, burn, injure and kill Palestinians, their properties and livestock every day, while the IDF is aiding and abetting them.

Victims of child sexual abuse deserve our moral consistency. How did the Prime Minister think Mandelson’s appointment would make them feel? Factional politics took priority above everything else, and that is disgraceful. [2/2]
Everything coming out of the Mandelson files confirms that his links to Epstein were known to all, and that appointing him showed both terrible judgment and a disregard for due process. [1/2]

‘Lammy’s jury trial cuts risk worsening racial bias in justice system’ labourlist.org/2026/03/lamm...
The right to a trial by jury is fundamental. There are a range of improvements put forward by legal professionals working in our courts to improve efficiency of our system without the need to restrict access to jury trial. That’s why I’ll vote against threat to jury trial today.
Join us next Monday in our online discussion about how we can restore democracy in the Labour Party.
Justice needs juries.
Ahead of today's debate on the Courts and Tribunals Bill, I joined lawyers outside Parliament to call for the government to abandon proposals to restrict jury trials.
We need investment and reform to tackle court backlogs, not the abolition of key legal safeguards.
It is therefore disingenuous for the government to claim that this particular measure is about helping victims. It’s a short-termist cost-cutting measure, which will further entrench discrimination and inequality. [2/2]
