because your account is hosted by bluesky, if you get suspended from bsky.app they will remove your account entirely.

bluesky supports moving your account to a new app without losing your followers, but currently no such friendly app exists. someone needs to create it.

bsky.app does not allow it and will suspend accounts for posting it. there is currently no friendly alternative to bsky.app that uses the same protocol, in the same way that misskey.io is a friendly alternative to mastodon.social where you can follow accounts on the other site.

death is final. when someone dies, it's over. i won't meet her again. and it really sucks how all ceremonies and institutions around me are seemingly about denying this basic fact of death, instead of learning to accept it. it feels grotesque…

i'm invited to an all hallows' day ceremony at that church, where my mom's name will be read aloud as one of those who died this year. i've considered going but the invitation mentions that it's all about reminding ourselves that "death is not the end." i'm not sure i can take hearing that again…

i've always had a difficult time with how christianity deals with death. i have never felt like the church is a place where my grief can be seen or validated. the people are nice and they care, but there's a deep sense of false positivity about death where my grief has no place.
