우리의 시간이 내 안에서 이렇게 예쁘게 남아 있어 줘서, 정말 다행이라고.

그래서 오늘도, 그때의 너를 미워하지 않기로 했다.
그저, 고마웠다고 조용히 마음속으로 인사했다.

사람은 이렇게 조금씩 괜찮아지는 거구나.
잊는 게 아니라, 익숙해지는 거고,
잃는 게 아니라, 다른 모양으로 간직하게 되는 거구나.

그때랑 똑같은 맛이었는데, 이상하게 눈물이 나진 않더라.
그냥, 웃음이 나왔어. 그 시절의 우리가 참 예뻤다는 생각에.

그 자리에 새로 생긴 카페도 들어가 보고, 혼자 앉아 조용히 창밖을 보기도 하고.
네가 좋아하던 메뉴가 아직 있길래 괜히 한 번 시켜봤어.

요즘은 가끔 그 골목을 다시 걷기도 해.
예전엔 피하듯 지나쳤는데, 이젠 괜찮더라.

모든 잃음이 끝은 아니구나.
어쩌면 시작일 수도 있다는 걸, 그때의 우리를 떠올리며 이제야 조금씩 배우는 중이다.

처음엔 네가 없는 자리가 너무 커서 하루하루가 힘들었는데,
지금은 그 자리에 다른 추억들이 조금씩 스며들고 있어.

그때 우리가 함께 걷던 골목길, 웃으면서 찍었던 사진들, 사소한 말들까지 아직도 선명한데 이제는 그 기억이 아프다기보단 따뜻하게 남아 있는 것 같다.

요즘 문득 그런 생각이 든다.
뭔가를 잃는다고 해서 항상 슬픈 결과만 있는 건 아니구나.

체코의 이 부활절 풍습에 대해서 예전에 어디서 읽은 적이 있는데 거기선 여성의 엉덩이를 때리는 걸 체코 사람들은 아무도 성차별적이고 문제 있는 행동이라고 생각하지 않는다며 이걸 문제시하는 외국인들이 체코 문화를 모른다는 식으로 말하는 내용이었다.
하지만 역시 그게 아니었고 이제야 여자들이 말하는 거구나 싶다.
