Sean Duffy Longs for the ‘Golden Age’ of Air Travel. What Was That Like?

Maybe someone should remind Sean Duffy that during his “Golden Age of Air Travel,” racial minorities were rarely seen on US flights, vacations to places like Canada or Mexico (let alone another continent) were reserved for the wealthy, and airline accidents were a regular occurrence.

Whether it’s last week’s Guardsmen shooting or yesterday’s mass shooting in Stockton, there’s too much damn gun violence in this country. While I'm praying for the victims and their loved ones, this is not enough.

The US is the only advanced country to have this level of gun violence. Enough.

Devastated to learn of today’s shooting in Washington, DC, and I’m praying for the National Guardsmen and their families.

Violence against law enforcement is unacceptable. Grateful to our first responders for quickly apprehending the shooter.

Andrea Velez, a citizen of the USA, was on her way to work when she was brutally beaten and arrested by ICE agents. There have been ZERO consequences for this assault. The lawlessness must end.

It was an honor to join UCI Health in celebrating the opening of their new hospital- the first fully electric hospital in the country– earlier this month.

Their innovation and commitment to building a more sustainable future is part of what makes the OC so special.

As a former law professor, I am outraged by the brazen lawlessness of ICE and DHS.

Whether it’s the assaults on our streets, the systematic pattern of people dying in ICE custody, or the complete lack of transparency, we need answers, and House Democrats will continue to fight to try to get them.

I’m here in LA with @oversightdemocrats.house.gov demanding answers on ICE’s lawlessness.

We’ve all seen the videos of ICE agents violating the law and assaulting people. They must be held accountable.

This ruling is an important victory for the rule of law, but we must go further and stop the partisan weaponization of our DOJ and FBI. Those who have abused their power to bring baseless criminal charges against Trump’s political critics must be held accountable.

When I was growing up, kimchi was seen as weird and embarrassing. Today, kimchi and more broadly Korean American culture are celebrated and beloved. That is the story of America and it’s what makes this country great. Happy National Kimchi Day everyone!

To be clear, I oppose socialism in this country. But I voted no on HCR 58 as it is fundamentally dishonest.

Words matter. By falsely equating socialism with communism, this reso attacks some of our closest allies and compares them to communist tyrants like Stalin and Pol Pot.

Now, Trump wants to add more offshore drilling off the coast of CA – something that hasn’t happened since 1984. California’s coastline is NOT for sale.

Wildfires are becoming more deadly, and without strong research and modern tools to address these growing threats, our communities will continue to pay the price.

I’m proud to lead bipartisan legislation to ensure we are better equipped to save lives and neighborhoods.

Yes this is totally incompetent but the real story here is the sheer lawlessness of Lindsay Halligan. Imagine being a lawyer and having such little regard for the rule of law that you would fake a grand jury indictment and lie about it.

Halligan should not only be disbarred, she should be in jail.

One step closer to justice for the survivors.

Donald Trump has spent months trying to kill this vote on releasing the Epstein files. 

Why? Because his name is all over them. @oversightdemocrats.house.gov won’t stop fighting until everyone involved is held accountable.

Republicans finally realized protecting pedophiles is not a tenable position in America.

But let’s not let this distract us from the fact that we wouldn’t need this vote if Donald Trump would just release the files. We need justice.

Today’s vote was a necessary first step in achieving the long-awaited justice the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse deserve. 

However, we cannot let this win distract us from Donald Trump’s repeated attempts to hide the truth. We will fight relentlessly to ensure every last file is released.

House Republicans have said those of us fighting to release the Epstein files have "Trump Derangement Syndrome."

But they suffer from something far worse: Pedophile Protection Syndrome (PPS).

Abetting child sex traffickers is evil, it's un-American, and it cannot stand.

Trump appears early and often in the Epstein files. It’s clear why the White House and Mike Johnson have been trying to cover this up.

But there cannot be one set of rules for Trump, and another for his critics.

The American people deserve answers, and we won’t stop fighting until we get them.

Follow the money.

That’s what the survivors of Epstein’s sex trafficking ring told me when I met with them this summer.

This cover up is much bigger than any of us realize. We must keep pushing for justice and accountability.

It’s time to release the Epstein files and stop protecting pedophiles.

There’s a cover up happening right now but we can end it by forcing the release of the entire Epstein files.

I won’t stop until we get answers, find justice for the survivors, and give the American people the transparency they deserve.

My message to Speaker Mike Johnson:

Stop protecting pedophiles. Release the Epstein Files. Feed hungry kids. And lower costs for the American people.

Bill Pulte is violating the law to bring baseless criminal charges against Trump’s political critics. Pulte must be held accountable. The rule of law must stand.

Donald Trump promised to lower costs. He lied.

From his tariffs to raising health care costs for millions, Trump is making life unaffordable.

In Trump’s America, the only people who benefit are billionaires.
