An interesting dynamic I was exploring was (OG) Rephrase and Rewrite

D-Sides Reph would probably get along with Rewrite but Rephrase and Rewrite (One being the digitalized version of God and the other being digitalized version of Satan) would DESPISE each other.

They are perfect rivals!

green = really like lime = like yellow = neutral orange = dislike red = hate rewrite really likes rephrase. rephrase likes rewrite "the OG pairing, realized they had similar goals and bonded real quick / rewrite likes to be affectionate towards reph because he finds his confusion funny" rephrase dislikes paraphrase. paraphrase is neutral towards rephrase "despite what reph thinks, this rivalry is one-sided. para does not give a fuck" (note: read paraphrase's wiki page for better context, nothing has changed tbh) paraphrase and redphrase are neutral towards eachother "these two are normal compared to whatever phrasewrite has going on up there. their personalities don't mesh very well, though. / once upon a time para had made an odd remark regarding both rephrases. they're over it now but there's still a tense feeling between them" rewrite and redphrase like eachother "if you value your sanity don't put these two in a room together. they like to be annoying together" rewrite likes paraphrase. paraphrase is neutral towards rewrite. rewr's stance: "finds their serious nature entertaining, studies like a bug" para's stance: "finds their origin curious, studies like a bug" rephrase HATES redphrase. redphrase is neutral towards rephrase reph's stance: "what would you do if you woke up one day and found yourself replaced by an idealized copy of yourself?" red's stance: "doesn't harbor any ill will towards rephrase, he just pities him. can't get too close, though" (note: 🏳️‍⚧️)

since there are so many of these guys now (and i am absolutely insane), please take this absolutely noncanon infochart on how i think they feel about eachother

if i focus hard enough i can blow up redphrase with my mind my human design of redphrase(? idk if his canon name is satan or not)! he keeps the same colorscheme as the original design, just suited for a human instead. he has fluffy hair (with stray tufts meant to look like the ears) and a golden headband. he has two raccoon tail strands of hair in front (meant to look like the shell) and a loose ponytail in the back (meant to look like the tail) he wears a loose red-and-white zigzag shirt with uneven sleeves, exposing the black tanktop / leotard underneath. he also has black pants / leotard(...? up to interpretation idrc) to match. everything else is the same, though- green and pink arm and legwarmers, black fingerless gloves with three rings on each hand, purple spike cuffs below the legwarmers, and red sneakers. yay!

my evil fanon human paraphrase design. the lock on his forehead has been turned into a small headband/headpiece. instead of a messy bun, para has a messy ponytail that points upwards (which is meant to represent the quills). they wear a sleeveless checkered shirt and high-waisted shorts, a belt separating the two. the regular clothes he has as well as his rings are all in their usual spots. notes (in counter-clockwise) "hairtie is just a hairtie, not a soul ring" -> "i imagine he's not very happy about the lack of symmetry" "ears" -> (pointing at the tuft of hair that resembles the original ears) "hair goes behind eyeliner" separate copy of the para doodle, the lock is transparent to reveal the triangular hairline underneath "lock is a hairpiece. can't be removed, but can be repositioned" -> "the hairline is hidden underneath the lock" "soul rings are still soul rings" -> "how did he get the clothes on with the rings in the way? whoooo knooowwsss..." "ear" -> pointing at the actual ear this time

my human design for rephrase. he has pale yellow skin, purple messy hair tied into a low ponytail, a single exposed eye with pink eyeliner, and blonde tufts of hair sticking out of his yellow headband (halo). notably, he doesn't have a mouth, but he does have a small pointed nose. for attire, he wears 80's-inspired yoga gear, featuring a black and lilac leotard, a shoulderless purple shirt with a white semi-circle design, green armwarmers and pink legwarmers (with triangular designs on each, and purple and white shoes. he is also carrying a green and white dufflebag. :]

my oddity(?), the spellcaster. he looks like nicky from that one sonic manga- sonic-shaped, but with extra bangs in the front and a pair of glasses. he wears real sneakers and a sweater that reads 'sega'. in one hand is a speak & spell, the other hand is held close to his face doodle one: someone is sleeping. nicky is in the dream, waving at the viewer. "EXEs don't exist in the real world, so let's go find them in the dream world!" doodle two: alan (if you can believe it) watching in confusion as nicky draws in the dirt with a stick he just found. "guy that isn't supposed to be here / always radiates "wrong" energy, but relatively harmless" doodle three: nicky is very flustered, ears pinned back as he anxiously holds up his speak & spell, which says "PLEASE STOP." "can't speak while dreaming. uses speak & spell to talk" doodle four: nicky has fallen asleep standing up. sonic.exe is standing impatiently behind him, staring at the camera. the next near the exe says "( was mid-chase )" with an arrow pointing at him. "if something happens IRL, he can wake up to deal with it. nicky will fall asleep in the dream if that happens"
