My daughter had her assessment finally done five years ago. She's gone from strength to strength and is now doing her PhD. She's grown in confidence, is comfortable in her own skin, and has found the confidence to make friends. If she hadn't been assessed, I'm not sure where she would be now xx

Pet of the dreaded Perchten, trickster and, some say, harbinger of death. Half-goat, half-bird, sometimes a witch, always wild - the Habergeiß stalks the Alpine Winter nights - and she might test you, too!

We meet her in our 19th #yulefolklore story below!

I've not posted a picture of Dio in quite a while, so here's one from a couple of days ago. Ruling the roost at my mum's house, but still keeping an eye open for cats through the front window.

Our 7th #yulefolklore tale takes us back to France today on St Nicholas Day and we’ll meet one of his ghastly companions who whip up the tension of the saint’s annual visit.

This one does it literally though, what with his cruel backstory.

Read it, following the link below!

Post by @whatthecrowtold · 1 image 💬 0  🔁 0  ❤️ 0 · On this day of Saint Nicholas, O my best beloved, let me whisper of Père Fouettard, the Whipping Father, whose shadow follows the good saint through the frosted villages of France.…

"And sometimes, if the wind howls just so on the eve of his feast, parents warn their little ones: “Be good, or Père Fouettard will come.”

Dio, a white lurcher dog, stood in the sunshine on the beach at St Annes. In the background is the old landing stage section of the town's pier. The dog is panting after running around chasing his favourite ball

On St Annes beach with Dio. The sunny weekend has meant lots of visitors to the town. Some of them are litter louts, full stop 🥺
Used a spare poop bag to clear 5 plastic tubs, a balloon, a burst ball, 2 small beach toys, coke bottle, cider can, ice lolly & sweet wrappers & 2 bags of dog waste 🤢

The stage at the Albert Hall in Manchester, just before Fish and his band took to the stage. The backdrop is a screen showing a loop of album covers from across the years. Fish and his band on stage at the Albert Hall in Manchester.
A tremendous set, with songs from pretty much every point in the back catalogue. Incubus was outstanding, as was A Gentleman's Excuse Me. The band were all on form, particularly Robin Boult on lead guitar (pictured here). Fish and his band on stage, performing 'Plague of Ghosts' from the album Raingods with Zippos.
A spotlight behind the band is sending shafts of light across the stage

Well that was very emotional. Nearly 42 years since I first saw this man on stage in Liverpool with Marillion. I had a huge lump in my throat when he walked off stage at the end.

Fish, thank you for all your words & songs. Enjoy the Road to the Isles big man.
