There is a very widespread lack of understanding of the physics (F=ma) of crashes and how much force a body can be exposed to without breaking.

Ever bigger cars x lack of respect for speed limits is catastrophic for people crossing the road or riding a bike.

🟢 Hannah Spencer’s victory in Gorton and Denton shows that change is possible.

🔄 People across Bradford are desperate for that same change.

✅️ In May’s local elections, choose real change. Vote Green.

New M&S plans unveiled as £15m retail park scheme is proposed The new retail scheme could also create 100 jobs and a public consultation is now under way

People wonder why town and city centres are struggling, then crap like this is approved. M&S opening in a tin shed, less than 2 years after closing it's city centre store.

Cheap tin sheds.
Low rates and rent.
No thought given to anyone not in a car.

📸 I’ve reported several sites and will continue pushing for stronger enforcement and new covert cameras.

📉 New figures show bus use across #WestYorkshire has fallen again.

⏳ While the Labour Mayor is blaming everyone else, the reality is bus services in #Bradford are getting worse right now.

📣 Bus users need action now, not warm words about improvements that are years away. 👇

raphic with a green background branded “Bradford Green Party Councillors,” featuring a Telegraph & Argus headline reading “Councillor says Post Office is ‘letting community down’.” Below the headline is a photo of Celia Hickson and Matt Edwards standing on a street outside a closed Post Office with red metal shutters. Celia wears a dark jacket and scarf; Matt wears a beige coat and glasses. At the bottom is a call to action reading “Join.greenparty.org.uk,” alongside the Green Party logo.

Matt Edwards in a Blue and Green Checked shirt stood in front of a bus in Bradford City Centre.

🚆 After some reflection, I am stepping back from my national role as Green Party #Transport spokesperson.

🚌 It’s been a privilege raising transport inequality, calling for better buses & helping shape HS2 policy.

💚 But for now, I want to prioritise my work in #Bradford and Tong Ward.

'Make travel in London free for everyone', TfL told The Commons Transport Committee last week proposed everyone under 22 be given free bus passes

"Free bus travel for under-22s only scratches the surface. London’s public transport fares remain among the highest in Europe, and no one, no matter their age should have to choose between paying rent or tapping their Oyster."

As long as people are stuck in car dependency without good public transport, those who should not be behind a wheel will be forced to resist rules to restrict them.

Ending road death MUST mean green transport ££ and lower speeds, car sizes and traffic, not just action on drivers.

A screenshot of a news article from Dhaka Tribune. The headline reads: "Pakistan’s first trackless electric tram debuts in Lahore". The words "first trackless electric tram" are crossed out and replaced with the word "bus". Underneath is a photo of a fancy bus and other text where the words "trackless tram" are crossed out and replaced with the word "bus"

🤦‍♂️ If it doesn't have tracks, it's not a tram.

A "trackless tram" is an expensive bus.

A progress pride flag (although an older one without the update to reflect Intersex) and a trans flag pride flying in front of Bradford City Hall. Tyrell Square is visible in the background.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Really proud of see the #Pride and #TransPride flying in front of #Bradford City Hall today.

With everything the LGBTQIA+ (and especially the trans community) are facing at the moment, this is a powerful statement from @bradfordcouncil.bsky.social

A graphic from Bradford Green Party with a green background. It features the text: "Could you be a Green Party Councillor? You don’t need previous political experience — just a commitment to our values, representing the community and a drive to make a real difference." A button below says "Find out more." The Green Party logo and name appear at the bottom along with small print that reads: "Promoted by P Worsnop on behalf of M Edwards at 7 Fairfield Road Bradford BD18 4QP." There's also a circular graphic showing a city skyline.

🟢 We have big plans for the local elections in 2026, and we are looking for people to stand as a Green Party councillor.

💪 You don’t need previous political experience - just a commitment to representing the community, Green values and a drive to make a real difference.
