But also maybe comments and replies have come to a point where it's also seen as a competition to get the most engagement and likes, rather than people genuinely commenting their thoughts? This bit might be a baseless tangent. I do enjoy reading comments on posts.

Because in the end I think the way you should view a post or media should purely come from your individual judgement and interest. I think comments and replies are fine?

I've been wanting to hide all likes and view counts on all the social media that I use. I want to interact with content without the influence of how many likes it has. To put content with less interactions on the same playing field as the ones with more.

It's quite dead here but it's a nice change of pace every now and then :3
