It's finally starting to feel like home.

The kitchen is more or less put together, we have the dining room table set up and cleared off, the living room is set up (although we still need to mount the tv), and the bedroom is looking how we want.

I'm also on the roster at a temp-to-perm agency. 🤘

Sounds like the snowpocalypse is winding down. We got what seems like a foot of snow at least. And the air is so dry, I got a nosebleed this morning. I've never had a nosebleed before. 😬

My partner is super happy about the snow. And it was a lil crazy to look outside and not see the road. Not a single tire track.

Seriously.... Our last apartment complex and this apartment complex are night and fricken day.

Our bathroom faucet stopped putting out cold water, despite us leaving all the faucets on a steady stream. Put in a maintenance request and wouldn't you know it, they were here within the hour.

I'm super proud of how much I got done today.

I've got the bathroom and kitchen pretty much done, and most of our books unpacked. That was roughly 7-8 boxes and 4 of the giant Rubbermaid containers. ☺️

Thanks. It's been a while fricken ride, but I am SO glad to sleep in my own bed tonight.

And like, this luggage is fricken huge. It used to be his coffee table

My partner asked me if I could get the last bit of luggage out of the truck, since his back was hurting cuz he tripped a few times.

So I went to grab this giant ass vintage luggage full of clothes, and as they were coming back out, the strap broke and fell onto my good foot.

Now both my feet hurt.

And we're done!

Sort of. All the stuff is inside but not exactly where it needs to be plus unpacking.

I was getting some pain in the tendons of my foot and did the best I could. My partner and his friend who came to help eventually told me to just stay inside and I shuffled around our stuff.

Was able to start moving in around 3pm. We are almost done and took a dinner and beer break at the local Irish pub before finishing up for the night.

I ordered a hard cider because I'm not fond of the hops flavor. It's a Blackberry Apple and SO tasty!

It's move in day.

We still have to wait for the carpet guys to come by and stretch the carpet.

They were supposed to yesterday.

We don't have any more money to get a hotel for another night.

I am so fucking tired of being homeless and being told to be patient.
