in my head furina has the energy of an entrepreneur who is managing a fashion line and is putting on a play with the local theatre troupe and is running a charity drive for children and then neuvillette is her dear husband who is unintentionally scary to his law firm coworkers

and then neuvillette is like. big fuck huge dragon who is burdened by A Melancholy So Ancient. somehow has the energy of a pastor, a widower, and a judge who has seen too much. all at once. but his most potent truth: is that he loves his fuckin wife

And she oscillates between those two extremes. and is also both of them at the same time. shes smart and selfless but willing to sacrifice to the point of severe detriment and so acts cheerful happy yay! ^_^ to obfuscate that

To me furina is this woman who is bubbly n exuberant in the "i am committed to joy and optimism not bc i am naive but bc it is the best way forward" way (healthy) and also in the "i cannot bear sadness and failure so i will throw myself into pomp&fanfare distraction" way (unhealthy)

see (my understanding of) neuvifuri and my enjoyment of it is very funny to me bc i do not play genshin and have no intention to ever do so. however. i love them both so much. and the dynamic that they have that exists in my brain is so good
