Oh me too! It’s the best thing. I think the “that’s the one” ones deepen it but some of the other general mood ones definitely shape where a scene goes - namely because I am pantsing my way through it all and sometimes it’s a surprise to me what happens 😂

It depends, I had a general mood playlist which for me was the setting and then some individual songs which were different characters themes. Then some songs just came into my head as I was writing and I was like “THATS IT! THATS THE ONE” and listened on repeat as I wrote 😂
Does anyone else have incredibly detailed playlists that you wish you could prescribe along with your book?
Like, “listen, this chapter is great but if you play this song on repeat when you read it you’re gonna essentially have an out of body experience….”
