Look at the pro fonts. Pretty sure lots of Portuguese-language comic creators have been using those for years without a problem.
Some really awesome news about a new Blambot project coming’ atcha on Monday. This is the only clue you’re going to get till then! Stay tuned…

Okay -- all six versions of each letter for Project BNib Shouts Condensed are finished (for realsies this time). I'm back to the point where I can port this over to Fontlab.
For those of you reading D’ORC, you should know that Chicken is my fav character. While lettering the first issue, I emailed Brett and begged him to keep Chicken around. I had no idea if he was just a one-off gag or not. Luckily, Brett already planned to have him as a regular.
This made me happy this morning. Chad Smith crushing The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again": youtu.be/HFU1XBLnIRs?...
So no one (including me!) noticed that I only had FOUR versions of each letter finished for Project BNib Shouts Condensed, even though I've been saying "six versions" this whole time. HA! I was ready to port this over to Fontlab, but now I'm going back and adding two more of each. D'OH!
Out today!
Hi, folks. In-between lettering gigs, I'm working on the clean-up of Project BNib Condensed (bottom). Then I'll port all of these over to Fontlab. As you may know, the regular version (top) is already a finished font. Later, I'll make italic versions of both and get the set out to you.
Yer damn right we did!
No idea. Looks lousy to me. Distracting. (There is an accented version of the I with a dot, but it has specific non-English uses. Not just a style choice.)
Lovely day. I'm dragging ass due to the (stupid, outdated, pointless--just pick one and stick with it for fuck's sake) time change. About to start lettering D'ORC #5, and I'm listening to live tracks of Big Head Todd & The Monsters in the studio.

I am having way too much fraggin' fun lettering LOBO.
First explodey of the day. (LOBO #2 - Digitally hand drawn with my Cockroacher brush in Illustrator)
Lovely day. Lettering a new issue of SKottie Young & Jorge Corona's LOBO and listening to Big Wreck. (Ever heard of them? Go listen!) Chugging water. Planning to hit my LCS, Fantasy Zone, later to drop off more copies of D'ORC #1 (2nd print) because they keep running out!
(Clause: If a bunch of you do this, I'm not buying all of them. One of these is fun, 37 of them is a pancake lifestyle that I'm not prepared to embrace.)
Someone make a screen printed shirt like this, and I'll buy one.
How’s the quality of Threadless shirts/merch? I’m a real hard-ass when it comes to graphic tees. I’m old school. Nothing beats ACTUAL screen printing…but I get it that it’s not feasible for print on demand.
Hot take: we all need a t-shirt that just says…
PANCAKES
…across the chest, in a gentle arc, and in a collegiate font.
Project BNib Shouts Regular is done! 6 versions of every letter, 3 versions of each number, and !, ?, etc. These will swap out as you type. Next, I'll begin the Condensed Reg. version. Then I'll make italics for both. Four fonts in the set. I think I even have a permanent name for these! Stay tuned.
To celebrate I HATE FAIRYLAND's 50th issue, I was asked to design this "old school" team up cover logo treatment that will be used across many Image comics in April!
Lovely day. Weekend emails have been answerred, I've packaged up the latest orders for the Lettering Guide, and I've delivered final files for Elfquest: Siege at Blue Mountain #4 re-mastering. About to letter the 2nd issue of an unannounced DH project.
I’m more of an SG guy. I have a bunch of those.
I have a love/hate relationship with Gibson Les Pauls. They’re too damn heavy (9-10lbs) I’ve played dozens of LPs over the years, but these are the only 3 I’ve ever loved enough to buy. All 3 are from 2007, all versions of the Classic 60s model, and all are very light! 8lbs!
Yer damn right we did!

BTW, if you've never heard her, Lzzy Hale's voice is sublime. Thunderous, cutting, melodic, heart-wrenching, and sexy as fuck. What a gift to rock and roll is Lzzy. Check out the live Halestorm album for proof. \m/ \m/
Lovely day. Dealing with a colossal headache today. Swallowed some Excedrin Migraine, and I'm working until I can't. Listening to Halestorm in the studio. Save me, Lzzy Hale. You're my only hope.
We had a college student die during the blizzard here in RI—because the power was out, he attempted to recharge his phone in his car without first clearing snow away from the exhaust pipe. Poor kid died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Please be extra careful during storms, folks.
