10.11.2025 05:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Coward GFY.
10.11.2025 04:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0GFY. You sold us out you coward. The stench of this vote is your legacy.
10.11.2025 03:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I did but he doesn't care. My premiums have doubled for what is essentially catastrophic coverage. King and Collins are both worthless.
10.11.2025 03:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How did we end up with 2 of the most spineless senators? The stench of this will follow he and his son.
10.11.2025 02:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm not buying it. Call me cynical, but I just don't buy all this. I think it was the simple fact that he was shedding Dem support at a brisk pace and knew that he would probably not get past the primary.
07.11.2025 20:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm now a bit worried about the CD2 election. I just can't imagine having LePage represent us. The Golden thing has me a bit baffled, as I feel like there's more to it than what he said.
07.11.2025 20:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My premiums have almost tripled for a plan that's basically catastrophic coverage. I've contacted her office repeatedly just to voice my opinion. She simply doesn't care.
05.11.2025 12:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Same. We buy candy for kids who never show up so I can't let it go to waste
30.10.2025 06:45 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm not justifying anything, just putting what I read into context.
28.10.2025 14:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I read thru it, I also looked at some of the Reddit posts and would agree that it aligns with his persona. There are some obvious conflicts with his past views and where he's at today. My takeaway is that you see an evolution in his views once you plow thru all the nonsense.
28.10.2025 14:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks. I will read thru them as well. It's difficult to wade thru the clutter.
28.10.2025 12:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I have not read the Reddit posts yet, but earlier I saw a post stating that reading the posts in complete context changed their POV on Platner. IDK, could be rationalization, just curious to see how these topics are playing out at the individual level.
28.10.2025 11:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I did this. It felt like a Daily Show bit. We live in the dumbest timeline. Is it too early to have a beer?
25.10.2025 10:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks for steering me to it. BTW, I do think Dunlap is a good candidate for the job. He has appeal in CD2, and I think the D's in the district have had it with Golden.
24.10.2025 11:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Some interesting results in this UNH poll scholars.unh.edu/survey_cente.... Mills' negatives are what I was referring to previously @asfried.bsky.social tho she got a bump by standing up to Trump her favorables have been trending downward. Golden might be in trouble unless an Ind. enters the race.
23.10.2025 18:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Agreed. I think he's done and rightfully so.
22.10.2025 19:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I hope Mills wins. I truly do, but this entire situation represents why young people are so cynical about politics. I've been politically active since 1980 when I turned 18, Joe Lieberman convinced me to vote for a Republican once in my life, but I'm feeling the cynicism myself regarding the Dems.
22.10.2025 16:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Because there are no real consequences for their actions. They feel entitled to do as they please. Boot him off the plane, fine him, make it hurt a bit and they will stop. Too many apologists for this type of behavior.
22.10.2025 14:47 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm hoping we can get another candidate to run. Someone who could get the enthusiasm and blue collar cred of Platner. I know you think Mills can beat Collins, and you might be right, but I'm not convinced. Mills has huge negatives in the 2nd CD and is not a motivator. I fear many will sit it out.
22.10.2025 12:25 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0I thought they supported each other?
19.10.2025 04:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I worry about the enthusiasm gap. Mills has strong negatives in the 2nd CD, Platner is generating interest and enthusiasm. Some negatives will stick. My fear is that if Mills wins the primary (a strong likelihood), young people will sit on their hands in the general (I'm so angry at the DSCC).
15.10.2025 13:22 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0Agreed. If Mills wins the primary i predict the few young people we have in maine will sit out the general election.
15.10.2025 10:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0She's not wrong.
14.10.2025 14:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Platner was on Morning Joe this morning: www.msnbc.com/morning-joe/...
14.10.2025 13:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is one of those things that we hear constantly from the right. Apparently, civics isn't being taught in 6th grade.
13.10.2025 16:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I want the candidate who can truly take on Collins. She's a formidable candidate but I also think she's at her weakest point right now. Her brand is tanking.
11.10.2025 12:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It seems the trump era has changed the calculus somewhat tho I suspect the pattern you mentioned still holds. The 2nd CD is the enigma (where I live).
11.10.2025 11:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Which is how we ended up with Gideon as a candidate?
11.10.2025 11:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Agreed. Under different circumstances I would support this but not in this moment.
