None is usually the best amount when it comes to Final Fantasy ☝️

That said, most of the rest of these are really great goals. You’d be hard pressed to find games better than Persona 5 and DQXI, the Arkham series is solid, and the Mother games seem really cool, from the bits that I’ve seen.

You know, all of this seems incredibly plausible, aaand then there’s “Final Fantasy series”. Bro is about to play 16 games of the same series 💀

I’ve got some hefty RPGs planned for the start of the year, so I’m pretty excited for all of it. Hallelujah for video games!

It’s seriously so divisive. I’ve seen people claim it to be their favorite game in the series without a second thought, and have somehow seen people claim it to be their least favorite, despite the existence of the 3DS titles.

Funny enough, I actually have a few issues with the Royal specific content, but I am still glad that it was the version I played.
But seriously, it became an obsession. I hit P5 Strikers immediately to follow, and became seriously ecstatic to see others that I know get to play through it.

He didn’t click with me as much as I’d wanted him to, but that was partially because I had so many favorites from the squad picked out already, I couldn’t end up with too many more goats. He did really grow on me by the end though.

WAY TOO LONG. It took me over 50 hours, despite both the beginning of the game and a lot of the end feeling like needless padding. It seriously never gets any more exciting than any other M&L, despite double the playtime.

For real. I seriously think ORAS may be my favorite title in the series. I wish that love translated over better to the GBA originals, but it is what it is.

I seriously wasn’t expecting to like Echoes of Wisdom, so for it to make my top 5 for the year is insane. It thoroughly impressed me though. I was worried about the combat, but it started to feel natural pretty quickly, and the puzzles seriously ALWAYS felt incredible to complete

Persona 5 Tactica has the most predictable story I’ve ever seen lmao. The game is held back so far by its poorly written and boring original characters, that it chooses to entirely revolve around. I came for the Phantom Thieves and got two boring characters that feel like fan OCs

Persona 5 Strikers is the only Warriors spinoff game that I’ve played, with an OC that I feel genuinely makes its game better. Of course there is a second OC that fulfills your typical bland extra character role, but getting one winner at all is a miracle in my eyes.

If this was literally any other year, Persona 5 would’ve been my top game. You can’t beat TTYD, but seriously, P5 is the most fun I’ve had with a new game in years.

Rebirth feels like it’s an open world game, purely so it could advertise being an open world game, not because they had actual good ideas for an open world. It takes what could be a perfect 30 hour game (barring some awful story) and makes it a decently rough 80 hour game

I wasn’t impressed AT ALL by the Brothership trailers, and honestly wasn’t planning on buying it, but decided to for the sake of playing it at the same time as others. Funny enough, I liked it a lot more than I’d expected it at first, and then enjoyed the game less as it went on

I’m still undecided, whether I’ll be playing Metroid Prime 2 if it comes to Switch. Leaning towards no atm, but could be convinced. That said, for sure won’t be playing 4, unless I play 2 and 3 before it.

The gap in quality between #17 (FFVI) and #16 (Kingdom Hearts 2) is ENORMOUS, I just happened to only play two downright miserable games this year. Not the KH2 was great or anything, but I truly didn’t hate it or anything
