While cancelling Nitro is all well and good, just a reminder that age verification itself won't go away as a whole unless KOSA, the SCREEN Act, and tons more are buried and done with.
Please contact your reps if you don't want this to spread to other platforms.
I should make youtube videos attempting to express some of the more dense academic understandings of the history of events that I feel are relevant to the current situation.
I should learn to write more concise explanations first.
Do not let ICE and this administration dictate the narrative. These are not "warehouses," these are not "detention centers." They are concentration camps. If someone calls them anything but camps, correct them.
10.02.2026 13:43 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0AOC on DHS Warehouses: I think every American should be alarmed. They are buildingβand have builtβa black box system that disappears people, both immigrants and U.S. citizens alike.
10.02.2026 01:30 β π 38284 π 13668 π¬ 788 π 549They released only the information that makes a dedicated thorn in the elite's side look bad, because they want people to not listen to him, because they want people to believe that all humans are evil and there is no hope for change.
Read between the lines, you dolts.
People falling over themselves to condemn Chomsky after decades of activism and telling people very clearly and loudly and repeatedly who he was are falling victim to a very blatant effort by the administration to release the files in a way that deflects attention from the true perpetrators.
10.02.2026 13:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Valeria's comments on Chomsky and Epstein's relationship is hard for many to accept because it requires them to believe that there exists people who will actually - as a rule - offer goodwill and trust to anyone who approaches them.
But by every single account, that's who Chomsky was.
It's so cool how a bunch of kids realized there was a genocide in the middle east in 2023 and now suddenly every major company and government is tripping over their own dicks to turn the world into an Orwllian surveillance state so that never happens again.
09.02.2026 22:13 β π 6110 π 2377 π¬ 25 π 17This is not to say that the IWW has the power today that it did in the past. It doesn't. But that is because of how thorough the United States has been in crushing the movement and deleting it from the history books.
They do this because the IWW terrifies them. Join the IWW.
This is to say: SYNDICALISM WORKS. Transnational Syndicalism is the absolute most terrifying thing in the world to the suit wearing fucks that rule it. It is the many heads of the hydra coming to work together as one.
Look up the IWW, or your local alternative. Join them and/or Support them.
The history of these movements is important because they only failed because the state of emergency imposed by states in World War I enabled them to arrest the most prominent leftists of the era to stifle their movements, and most who escaped went to the USSR which later imprisoned most of them.
10.02.2026 02:29 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0A lot of my research focuses on how "nationality" was removed from this equation. Deportation is the means by which transnational unions founded by migrants forming communities across oceans and continents were crushed. The French CGT, Italian FSI, and the IWW were working together before WWI.
10.02.2026 02:29 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0The Industrial Workers of the World, founded in 1908, was the first completely integrated union in the United States, organizing workers regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, and nationality. Other unions of the era were integrated in the North, and segregated in the South.
10.02.2026 02:29 β π 3 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0This was my other theory but I am hoping it isn't true, because it would mean that there's no possible alternative to jump to, as they would all be subject to the same restrictions.
Gonna have to figure out goddamn IRC servers just to safetly talk with friends online.
I get the feeling that this is one of those intentionally controversial decisions made loudly so that the company can appear reasonable and garner goodwill by appearing to walk it back when they announce a lesser version which was their real intent all along.
Either way fuck Discord
Yeah I have to actively fight to keep those out of my sentences.

07.02.2026 23:51 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Google, too, is an empire that will one day collapse.
07.02.2026 23:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We are literally at a point where not submitting to these corporations gets you marked as suspicious. Caring about security, privacy, and actual ownership of one's devices gets you marked as untrustworthy. Because google and Microsoft have enough money to change what the definition of "trust" is.
07.02.2026 23:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Protect your device from being compromised by just compromising it yourself! It's not theft or hacking or an invasion of privacy when Google does it because Google is a large corporation, and legally large corporations have every right to steal every last bit of data they can mine from you.
07.02.2026 23:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0These authenticator apps are demanding the privilege to scan your entire phone to determine if it meets arbitrary and unstated requirements, and can refuse to function if it feels like anything you've done makes your phone "unsafe."
07.02.2026 23:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It truly is vibe checking because you don't get informed why the app has decided not to function. Could be the age of your device, could be the source you installed the app from (which literally doesn't matter because apps are just web wrappers), or it could be OTHER APPS ON YOUR PHONE.
07.02.2026 23:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Authenticator apps shouldn't give a shit about "device integrity" in the first place. The integrity is that it is MY device, and that it is paired with a password. What the fuck are these apps smoking, thinking they can demand anything more than being installed? Vibe checking my phone, jesus fuck.
07.02.2026 23:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Like this phone saying that my privacy and security are at risk BECAUSE I WON'T SIGN IN TO GOOGLE should be something I can sue for ludicrous amounts of cash over.
My privacy is at risk, yeah, because I haven't already gutted it open signing in to google. It's still alive, that's why it's at risk!
Hopy fumcking ship you can't even sign in to JUST the google play store. That automatically hooks your entire goddamn phone to your google account. It is impossible to download apps from the play store otherwise.
And it's OTHER app stores that are "untrustworthy" and "potentially dangerous"!!!!!
But that phone must also align perfectly with mega-corp standards (how else will we know it's safe? who knows more about safety and security then mega-corps) and if it's out of date then you're not a good consumer are you? Looking a little bit untrustworthy there with your empty wallet, eh?
07.02.2026 22:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I hear this is an issue for many banking apps as well, and also something that affects people with older phones that no longer receive updates.
Society just straight up says "fuck you" in so many ways if you don't have a phone, especially if you don't have a smart phone.
"The device does not meet the minimum integrity requirements"
read: you didn't install this through Google's ecosystem, which means you are a terrorist or a hacker or both. Not enabling the wholesale invasion of your privacy and theft of your personal data means you are suspicious and untrustworthy
