Finished and loved "Promising Young Women" by Caroline O'Donghue

I really love how engaging she writes. O'Donoghue writing had me laughing out loud, while really caring about Jane's problems and hoping she will be OK.

The women's cyclocross race of Lokeren attracted more viewers locally than the men's race.

The excuse that women's cycling wouldn't be so economically interesting for sponsors is again disproved.

Managers should just learn how to lobby better, because numbers are good

Second panel, Lindsay asks "well did it work for those people?"

Third panel, Tobias says "no, it never does, I mean these people somehow delude themselves into thinking it might, but,,,,,"

Fourth panel, "but it might for us."

It feels flawed to argue that.

Why have those people retreating into those spaces in the first place?

If they are "retreating", then to me, it would feel like it is probably because they have found that they didn't like pushback from those who disagree with them.

Music Thoughts

The band Joseph are brilliant, and their music should be played more often.

I though also feel inclined to add "the band" in front of Joseph, which feels odd. Maybe it is to differentiate them from some guy with name Joseph

Reminded of a cinema usher who directed me right, instead of left to to the cinema screen in Savoy. Towards end of film, 4 people walk in . I think the usher got left/right confused again.

Tindr must be a nightmare for him, as he would always be matching with people he didn't like.

But this article talks about statutory interest in courts and suggests lower figure of 2% where interest was not agreed by the parties
