I finally managed to put together a bit of gameplay for my game. I also added an effect that plays when the player takes damage. I like this effect, and it wasn’t difficult to create at all.

In my previous post, I showcased an early blockout of a location for Daisen. Today, I ran some tests using placeholder bots and tried out a small portion of the gameplay loop to see how it all feels in motion.

Still early, but things are shaping up nicely.

I'm also level designer on my team. Here's an early attempt at creating a night-time mansion arena. The level is built as a loop — every room connects to another, so the player is never truly safe, but also has a chance to escape.

The Grimolip is a KSG-based shotgun with the stock moved to the front, making the grip look like a pistol. For many Daisen fighters, it is uncomfortable, but a true master knows its "explosive" ability.
