The worldbuilding is heavily based on older christian literature such as the Lesser Key of Solomon, Paradise Lost, and the Divine Comedy. Hell is governed by an Absolute Monarchy, ruled by the Ars Goetia. (From what we’ve seen) Heaven is governed by a Minority Rule Oligarchy, ruled by the Seraphim.

A “little” synopsis of the world because I genuinely adore it: Hazbin/Helluva depicts Heaven and Hell not as larger than life forces of pure good and evil, but as functioning nations with governments, ideologies, politics, hierarchies, diplomacy, and controversies.
