I hope there will come a day soon where it dawns on someone in Starmer’s team that their strategy of communicating “Nigel Farage is right about everything but please vote for us instead” is fuelling these disastrous figures rather than mitigating them, but today is not that day

The bribes happened during his time as Brexit party MEP with Farage

This is 100% Reform’s man

6th Dec 2018 - the same day he followed Farage out of UKIP

He joined the Brexit Party with Farage in February 2019 and remained a Brexit party MEP until we left the EU.

In March 2021 he became Reform UK’s leader in Wales

Gill follows him on the 6th Dec

5 other UKIP MEPs follow Farage within days, including Nuttall (former UKIP leader, now deputy chairman of Reform)

All 6 join the Brexit party in Feb with Farage

By April, another 7 have switched

Gill became a UKIP MEP in 2014, alongside Farage

Farage declares Gill would be his UKIP leader in Wales

When Neil Hamilton took over as Welsh leader, Farage called it “an unjust act of deep ingratitude”

1 head of UKIP media (and Gill’s media advisor)

They lost all their seats in 2021 local elections

Their London mayoral candidate (yes, he was called Gammons!🤣) got 0.6%

May 2023 lost all their remaining local councillors

2024 they won just 0.02% of the vote share

So yes UKIP all but vanished as soon as the Brexit party/Reform appeared

In 2019 they lost their deposit in every seat they stood, getting just 0.1% of the vote share

They got 1.56% of votes in the Senedd elections in 2021 - losing their seat

Only 0.14% in the Scottish parliament elections (despite standing in every constituency)
