I think a lot of people are willfully overlooking the fact that this is a conversation about boys — children — not adults. The manosphere targets boys as young as 10.

No 10 year old has the discernment to know the manosphere is BS. If it’s all they ever see, it is what they will become.

Parents can’t be more influential than relentless algorithmic propaganda & peer pressure, without draconian measures.

Raising children to be functional adults is the job of all society, not just atomized individuals.

And this article isn’t about the Democrats.

This is fine for adults with fully developed brains. But the problem is this content targets kids as young as 10.

No 10 year old is equipped with the discernment to tell this is all bullshit on stilts. Even adults can barely resist social media algorithms. Kids? No way.

Saving the squirrel is the most Superman thing this version of Superman did in the movie. If you think it was dumb and cringe for him to save that squirrel, you are telling on yourself. And I don't want to know you.

Hard disagree with Schreier here. I think a better time to have killed off a main cast member was reveal of Sentry. THAT would have really established some stakes, because the audience would have become more attached to the character.

Chomsky's always had weird blind spots because of his reverse American exceptionalism. But several of his books, esp. The Manufacture Of Consent, are insightful and powerful. They're considered required reading on the left for good reason.

Noam Chomsky sought financial advice from Epstein & later flew on his plane to NY to have dinner with him, Woody Allen, and Allen's daughter-wife. All that AFTER Epstein had been convicted.

Reacher is basically the old school pulp barbarian who wanders the wilds and only comes into civilized areas for food or other necessities, befriends the local underdogs, wrecks the petty tyrants exploiting them, and then moves on.
