Unfortunately in Italy there are few showings of films in their original language with italian subs, and most likely that happens for bigger releases. The dubbing per se is not a problem, it's when they cast people who never worked as voice actors and are there just to get people that know them.

Oh god, another "The Bad Guys" situation? It's why I refused to watch it in Italian and wait for it to be seen with its original dub

You got pre-Oceans Eleven Soderbergh doing some of the most egregious work of his career, some interesting and well elaborated editing and compelling performances by Terence Stamp and Peter Fonda, who looks like a mix between James Woods and Jack Nicholson.

Back Street (1961)

Sappy melodrama Douglas Sirk style (same producer) that is mainly carried by the gorgeous colors and Susan Hayward's dresses. Vera Miles is in there too, but I think the real culprit of it all and for how it ends was John Gavin's spineless character.

The definition of a cool movie. A western on four hot, sizzling, piping wheels driving around a perpetually sleepless LA. Great action pieces, great casting, great sense of pace. Nicholas Winding Refn's "Drive" found dead in a ditch, for all I care.

The ice skating segment is the one I remember more fondly, it has a unique and charming style. The others range from bland and forgettable to others being "OK". I forgot how long the Pecos Bill segment was, didn't know it was based on a folklore US thing.

At New Year's Eve, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. She is starting her treatment this week and while she has health insurance, due to it being the beginning of the year, she has to pay a minimum out of pocket amount before it kicks in.
