How could you leave me?

even just 3 weeks ago, i wouldn't have dreamed this.

i can't make the words "thank you" contain the extent of my true gratitude. please just... imagine them bursting at the seams

i remember a time when an ex of mine, when i read a short story to a room of mutual friends, pulled me outside to tell me nobody wanted to hear it.

when a publisher wanted to pay me 300 € for 80 pages of work his editor kept decimating.

i pushed through these moments, but i often wanted to give up

you have to know- i've been a writer since i was 16.
i've written stories, poems, plays, and games - for 14 years.

this kind of positivity is new to me. i've never had so many people at once not merely care about something i worked on, but *also* depict and discuss it to this extent

people who follow me on my socials have seen how frequently i've had to ask for help with living costs during dev; and without the help they've given, we wouldn't have made it here.

i feel like the wounds of years are healing with this outpouring of love. thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

the @blanksword.bsky.social team and i are elated by the incredible fanworks we've seen recently.

i'm unspeakably happy about all the fanart Blanksword's received

these recent years have been challenging for many people on the team; and these pictures of our characters, of scenes from our game, of comedic situations (bug-related or not) - they help us understand that it was worth it.

So it came to be in the twenty third year after the second milleniary of the Christ, that @quinnkdev.bsky.social came to me and said "Go! And make me a creature for #Blanksword" for it was blessed work.

And Quinn saw it was good, and the people who saw him were most delighted, so adored was he.

i definitely picked this up from friends whose knowledge and bitterness both run deeper than my own, but i think "incurious" is probably the worst thing you can be right now. don't let exhaustion tick you over into entitlement or apathy; stay interested in other people and the world around you.
