All well and good to print Dump’s 18 lies he told on 60 Minutes Sunday, but without live fact checking, his lies went across the airwaves into millions of homes and were heard and believed by every supporter and many uninformed Americans. 🤬

In a way, I find the authoritarian takeover of our media system even more disturbing than the authoritarian takeover of our political system.

Our political system has been failing basically my entire adult life. But, the media system provided accountability and sort of worked. Now it’s collapsing.

This makes a good story and I hope that it is true, at least for some of the maggats, but my personal experience is that no one has changed their minds. They would still vote for him again today. It's really sad. The effects of the benefit cuts and increased premiums won't show up till next year

I remember it like it was yesterday.

Since federal taxes are by definition, Federal, the only practical way to accomplish the desired end result is to pass a Federal law saying that no state can receive any more benefit from fed taxes than is contributed by that state. This will never happen.

But. You would still be responsible to the payment to the US Treasury, period. Tax liens until you pay up from the Feds. The states are sovereign, but only in respect to that which does not violate federal law. Federal law says that you owe the treasury that money. The suggestion is nonsense.
