I'd try and reasonably point out how they were wrong. If they won't have it, I'd unfriend them. I've done it a few times - I curate my fb feed, I choose not to have that nonsense on it. Easy to do if it's just a 'fb' friend. If it's someone you know IRL, it's a bit more awkward, granted.
