Organising a conference is complex and involves continuous trade-offs. Given infrastructure, technological capacity & available resources, an in-person format was judged the most feasible way to deliver a high-quality event for participants (3/4)
@iaps2026.bsky.social is guided by the ACCESS Guiding Principles, which promote a reflexive approach to inclusivity, co-creation & environmental sustainability (accessnetwork.uk/guiding-prin...). The framework is not prescriptive, and external constraints sometimes require difficult decisions (2/4)
Thanks for raising this. We do value accessibility and inclusivity. IAPS conferences are organised by local hosts in ongoing dialogue with the IAPS Board, and inclusivity is integral to these discussions (1/4)
