The thing is, the 81 point game was not even Kobe's best scoring performance. Outscoring the Mavs through 3 quarters and posting 62 was more impressive. So this is all really meaningless.

I think this story is a really good example for people to look at when it comes to understanding bias at NYT. It's not that the reporter, Dana Rubinstein, says anything outright false. But the framing, word choices, etc., add up to an unprofessional and biased account.

Clear and correct by archbishop Cupich. This war is being waged for clicks, to “own” “libs” or whomever the hell they think they’re owning. Treating horrific reality like God damned entertainment, like a video game. (I choose and use these words deliberately). Grotesque is too mild a description.
re: Timothee Chalamet shooting his mouth off about opera and ballet, I will say in NYC it's much more affordable to go to the opera or the ballet than see a Broadway musical. The Met's season starts back up on Monday. They're doing Tristan und Isolde, Madame Butterfly, and La Traviata. All bangers.

I would guess that Committee constituency is unusually important to the explanation — the committee has inter alios a former primary school teacher, the former head of Electrical Engineering at Oxford, a former BBC journalist (oddly enough the one hereditary member), not just career politicians.
