A federal judge, Charles Breyer, ruled that Trump’s hijacking of the California National Guard was illegal. But now the appeals court has stayed that order. It’s typical for due process, but it’s not right that people in Los Angeles are left exposed to this fascist bullshit. End this madness ASAP.

On advice from a team of administration lawyers, the administration pressed ahead. • "There was a discussion about how far the judge's ruling can go under the circumstances and over international waters and, on advice of counsel, we proceeded with deporting these thugs," the senior official said. • "They were already outside of US airspace. We believe the order is not applicable," a second senior administration official told Axios.

Ignoring a court order on the grounds that “ah-ah-ah, the law doesn’t apply once you get to international waters!!” is absolutely sanctionable. 8th grade-ass lawyering. Completely unserious.

The people Attorney General Bondi is calling “terrorists” have had no trial and no chance to defend themselves. We do not know who they are. Ignoring the Constitution does not make us safe. It puts us all in peril.
