Legs all done.
The white lines at the bottom of each leg were a little bit of a struggle as they were long thin water slide decals, so were a bit fiddly to get right.
Just the weapons and accessories to go now.

Here are the arms all done. I’ve been using Vallejo’s brush on matt mecha varnish as a top coat and I really like the effect. It also makes the decal backing pretty much invisible.

I did the head and the waist at the same time as they were small parts with only a few pieces each. I also prepared the piece that goes between the wait and the body.

I’ve started work on this kit which I’ve been after for a while and took a bit of a hunt to find. I already built the Origin Green Zaku II earlier this year and I like the more modern detailed look.

Full Mechanics Gundam Aerial is all done. An amazing kit, if a little difficult to pose as some joints are a little tight while others are a little loose.

Last time I had a tonsil stone, I was grabbed by a cosmic horror and sent to a dream.

Everything is built now, just the water slide decals to do.

I touched up a few parts with a metallic marker & brightened the eyes with a green marker. I’m in two minds about the beam rifle sight though.

Also here’s all the nubs I removed in building this kit.

I enjoyed this book so much I bought the hardback. I intend to reread it next year.

Piranesi is the name of the main character who wanders a world of endless halls containing countless statues.
I leaned there was an architect also by the name of Piranesi (from 1700s?) who drew many pictures of something similar.

I recently read Piranesi by Susanna Clarke and I have to say it’s a read of the year contender for me. While it’s less than 300 pages I still think about it often.

I’ve started work on the Full Mechanics Gundam Aerial. First up is some panel lining before the parts even leave the sprue.
The detail already is impressive, an improvement over the very excellent HG Aerial.

I built this HG Gundam a few months ago but it’s only now I’ve panel lined it and stuck some transfers on.
It’s the EZ8 (pronounced easy eight), a ground type Gundam designed to operate better in jungle environments.

Atlas Gundam is all done now. It’s a bit of a pain to pose with all the moving parts and the giant weapon and shield make it very front heavy, but I’m very pleased with how it looks.

That’s the arms done complete with impressive shoulder markings. With that the main body of the Gundam is finished. Next it’s time for the very large side pods.

First time I went to London I was mobbed by about 10 18-19 year old German girls all wanting photos with me. They said I looked like a German celebrity.

I’ve been after the Full Mechanics version of Gundam Aerial for a while so imagine my surprise when I randomly came across it when wandering around #hobbycraft today.
Needless to say it was an instant purchase.

My TV is around 19 years old and I get a new phone roughly every 4-5 years. So yes if it’s not broken and it does what you want then there’s no need for an upgrade.

Killing Time is one of my most favourite stories from 2000AD, ever since I first read it back n the day.
