Fun fact: the US hasn’t officially been in a war since WW2

Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea & Vietnam were technically “armed conflicts”

One is “a prolonged period of sustained military combat”

The other is a prolonged period of sustained military combat that Congress calls: “a war”

See the difference?

If you gave me two choices.

1. Pay for my own ticket, fly to your city, Uber to your house, stand in your bathroom and talk business while you’re on the toilet taking a dump, or…

2. Meet with you on Microsoft Teams

I’d just need ask your address

Another member of the chat, William Bejerano — who tried to start a pro-life group at Miami Dade College — was the primary user of the n-word in the group. At one point, he posted a block of text calling for dozens of acts of extreme violence against Black people, who he referred to using the n-word, including crucifying, beheading and dissecting people. Bejerano hung up the phone when reached by the Herald. In WhatsApp conversations leaked to the Miami Herald, participants used variations of the n-word more than 400 times, regularly described women as "whores," used slurs to talk about Jewish and gay people and mused about Hitler's politics.

Byron Donald: “The conservative movement has always been steeped in respect for other people, respect for religious liberty, respect for economic liberty.”

12 yrs ago today, a friend & I went to a sports journalist’s lecture. The crowd was mostly white, he wasn’t super famous, so I thought I could get him to do this thing called a “podcast”

Afterward, my friend said:

“Nah Mike. This ninja might be a Republican opp!”

Ok, maybe he didn’t say “ninja”

Clarence Thomas Just Struck Another Blow to Black Power In his majority ruling in a sleeper case about mail delivery, Thomas opened the door to a new way for Republicans to suppress the Black vote.

In an overlooked decision this week, the Supreme Court ruled that the post office can refuse to deliver your mail, which is KIND OF SIGNIFICANT if you choose to mail your ballot.
To do this work, the anti-democracy wing turned to their favorite “black friend,” Clarence Thomas.
