While in Chicago, I took a tour around the Obama Presidential Center. I can’t wait for you all to visit in June 2026. Here’s a sneak peek:
As a survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Viola Ford Fletcher bravely shared her story so that we’d never forget this painful part of our history. Michelle and I are grateful for her lifelong work to advance civil rights, and send our love to her family.
For almost four decades, Nancy Pelosi has served the American people and worked to make our country better. No one was more skilled at bringing people together and getting legislation passed – and I will always be grateful for her support of the Affordable Care Act.
I heard some old friends at Pod Save America were in town, so I decided to stop by. As we saw this week, we can change this country for the better. But it’s going to take all of us getting organized and having honest conversations about the best way forward.
😂
Beautiful!
It's going to take all of us to fight back against Republican redistricting efforts in Texas. I'm so proud of the Democrats in the state legislature. They have shown immense courage and are putting up one hell of a fight.
On the night of August 12, the sky in the Northern Hemisphere will be lit up by the Perseid meteor shower.
The earliest recorded observations of the Perseids were made by Chinese astronomers in 36 CE, so if you catch the show, consider yourself part of star-gazing history. 🧵⬇️
Why does the past cause so much conflict? That is one of the questions that author James M. Banner asks in The Ever-Changing Past. In this new blog post, Banner explains what events led him to writing this book.
Last week, I told you about my new book, 107 Days — a behind-the-scenes, candid, and personal account of my time leading the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.
Now, here's a behind-the-scenes look at announcement week.
Pretty soon all economic and jobs data released by the federal government will be handwritten with a black Sharpie
What the world saw on the campaign trail was only part of the story.
My new book is a behind-the-scenes look at my experience leading the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.
107 Days is out on September 23. I can't wait for you to read it: kamalaharris.link/107DaysBook
Abby Phillip: This is the worst conspiracy I've ever heard in my life.
So.. officially, I'm the last Black staff columnist left in the Washington Post's opinion section.
Riley: Don’t tell me you give a shit about the middle class when all you are doing is shitting on the middle class

Much as I would not dare to predict the consequences of this war, I do think we can summarize it thusly so far:
A smart and evil man manipulated a stupid and evil man into a war against a fanatical and evil regime.

What am I worried about?
-Safety of 30k US troops in the Middle East
-cybersecurity (since CISA was recently gutted) & homeland security (as HLS focused on immigration)
-Economic strength (oil prices and tariffs)
-Allied assistance (we’ll need that now)
-Domestic intell (leadership at FBI/DNI)
BREAKING: Video of President Obama singing "Amazing Grace" as a eulogy ten years ago today is going mega-viral. This is what American greatness actually looks like.
Beautiful!
Happy Father's Day to all of the fathers, stepfathers, uncles, godfathers, grandfathers, and friends who raise us with pride, joy, and endless laughter.
And to Dougie, my best friend and a wonderful dad: Thank you for everything you do for our family. We love you.
To the dads who protected us, provided for us, showed up—and taught us how to stand ten toes down: we see you, we love you, we thank you.
Happy Father’s Day.
Yesterday, millions of us reasserted the “We” in "We the people."
We gained strength from our solidarity. We celebrated our numbers and our power.
We will be steadfast. We will not cower to a dictator.
We will win.
i'm surprised by how low energy and farcical that whole military parade situation was. I was expecting Moscow 1945 and we got Spirit Halloween instead.
they're having a hard time hiding their boredom
Our able men and women in uniform swear an Oath to support the Constitution—they didn’t sign up to spend the weekend in a military parade to feed the insatiable narcissism of an incorrigible insurrectionist/dictator.
