Oh and a friend was put in the wrong meeting. He got invited to the all hands where they told us that people were being let go and then we we all walked back to the office his badge didn't work. Gave him the biggest hug.

This trauma is real and leaves scars.

Thing is, they didn't BCC or hide the invitees so we were able to see who was probably getting laid off, or so we thought! This was a 700+ person company and they had to split the list. People were messaging each other in hysterics. It was the worst management of a layoff I have ever experienced.

All the way this. We once had a company-wide meeting change at 5am the day of an 11am scheduled all hands. It disappeared for some people while others got new details about where to go, etc. So alarm bells started going off.

I am enjoying living the life of a Hobbit so far. Although I keep getting lost, because every idyllic country lane looks similar. 😅 And the birds that help with pathfinding are sometimes on a delay.

If you are female then the odds that at some point you'll feel like you're on fire are pretty high.
