I started to work on MscS-Like proteins 20 years ago, dreaming that they were involved in plant mechanotransduction. And it is becoming more & more clear that they are!

Random mutagenesis, targeted mutagenesis, and transgenesis breeding approaches and their differing regulations in Australia. Random mutagenesis and SDN-1 mutagenesis approaches are unregulated, whereas transgenesis involving the insertion of novel DNA, SDN-2 mutagenesis involving the use of a template to make small mutations, and SDN-3 mutagenesis involving the use of a template to make large insertions are regulated as GM in Australia.

Gibberellin transport affects lateral root growth through HY5 in response to far-red light
Gibberellin translocation from shoot to root conveys a plant-plant competition signal that leads to a reduction in lateral root growth.

A fascinating review. Thoughtful analysis. Much to discuss. Should ABA be reverted to dormin? My only big disagreement is that the author does not consider ion channels as potential receptors. Comparison to other kingdoms shows that ion channels can be hormone receptors. Great for journal clubs

great blog. The things we need in education settings are feasible and possible. I know of one FE provider who delivers safety and reasonable adjustments - so all schools, FE and HE could follow suit if they chose.
