I've just posted a very brief update on my blog regarding access to La Janda (Andalucia) after the floods 🪶 birdingcadizprovince.weebly.com/cadiz-birdin...

All you #lufc fans will be in bed no doubt, but, as usual, I can't sleep after that, so here's my take on the game on the link below. Have a read and let's hear your thoughts on it. Who'd want to watch @SunderlandAFC every week? Meh! I'm hitting the malt.

Well deserved.👍
Spain’s Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, said Madrid would not permit the use of Spanish bases for attacks on Iran. The installations, while jointly operated by Spain and the United States, remain under Spanish sovereignty.
Spain has strongly condemned the strikes.
Sadly not yet,we're stuck with what we've got for now. Always a bit of Yorkshire humour though.
Read my take on the #lufc defeat to City on the link. The result is not too important, it was the performance that counted & that was just fine, fine enough to give confidence we can secure the points we need from some winnable games. How did you see it?

Fascinating visit to the Observatorio de Calar Alto with the village cultural association. The largest telescope in continental Europe. Studying stars, exoplanets, galaxies, comets etc.
I've just finished my 2026 update to my 300+pp "Birding Cadiz" guide. I don't charge for it but ask for donations via my Just Giving page to @alzheimerssoc.bsky.social in my wife's memory. The generosity of birders has helped me raise £6,500+. Message me with your email address for a copy 1/2🪶
It's a paper one with fireworks attached.
Feliz Dia de Andalucía to one and all.
We'll get a point.
GO GREENS!!!!!
The kitchen garden is going a bit wild at the moment so it's the priority over birding this week. Lots of weeding to do but the flower bed is looking well and some early veg to harvest. The damn grasshoppers are already active and it's only February 🤨
